Black Friday death race - WTF?

Saturday, November 29th, 2008

A crowd of shoppers trampled a store worker to death while rushing toward Black Friday specials at a Long Island Wal-Mart. Witnesses said a worker at a Wal-Mart in Long Island died after he tried to hold shoppers back before the scheduled 5 a.m. opening of the store.

“As he gasped for air, shoppers ran over and around him,” the New York Sun Times reported.

Really? A television or a Wii are that important? Additionally, a gunman opened fire at a Toys R Us store in Palm Desert, CA killing two people.

Fucking out of hand.

Happy Black Friday

Friday, November 28th, 2008

So in observance of this being Black Friday I just wanted to remind you that you can visit Amazon.com through the links in this post and we (Lattitude Zine) will receive a percentage of your purchase. The links will take you directly to the normal Amazon home page and you don’t have to do anything special - just buy crap. Plus, by shopping online in this fashion you don’t have to go drive to the store which in turn saves you on gas! Fuck gas & fuck the crowds. Shop at Amazon and help us do the things we do.

Happy Tofurky Day

Thursday, November 27th, 2008

Enjoy your bountiful harvest americans. While I’m not real big on the fake meat thing or absurd holidays, Tofurkys are quite delicious. I find it strange that today we are supposed to be thankful for what we have and tomorrow we should seemingly go out and splurge and spend as much as possible. The most selfless and selfish two days of the year all rolled into one weekend. Have fun out there.
