Taxes are terrorism

By definition, taxes are indeed terrorism…

terrorism |ˈterəˌrizəm|
noun
the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims.

In the most recent letter I received from the IRS it was stated “Failure to file returns by the date required will result in the IRS filing the returns on your behalf, and potential levy.” Now read that definition again, “…intimidation in the pursuit of political aims.

I guess it’s okay if it’s your political aims that are being served right? Today is April 15, I’d like to encourage you to stand up for all the innocent families both here and all around the world that have been torn apart, murdered and otherwise terrorized by the United States of America over the last couple hundred years.

Here in the United States there is the War on Drugs, Domestic Terrorism, the Patriot Act and an ongoing list of names news outlets and the government throw around to convince you that they, the government are protecting you. Don’t be fooled. Governments support terrorism. Government is terrorism. say it again with me…

“the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims.”

If that’s not how government operates, be it at the local, state and federal levels, then I don’t know what is. Stop playing the part of the governments piggy bank.

Holy shit! We’re still alive…

Sorta.

Yes, this site has been neglected.

However, with tax season winding down some things have been swirling through my head especially in light of my current IRS “investigation” getting underway. As many know, I don’t pay taxes. At least all those that I can keep from paying. Due to this, the IRS has been making their presence known at my ex-wifes house… the address I used at my last employer a couple years ago. This even after I have left messages for the IRS rep on my case giving my current mailing address as 3175 South 2nd Street #387, Louisville, KY 40208 - is that so hard?

At any rate, neglect. I’m looking to get another issue together for print in the near future. If you’ve got any stories, essays or incoherent ramblings I want them. Email what ever you’ve got to jimmy@lattitudezine.com or drop something in the mail to: 3175 South 2nd Street #387, Louisville, KY 40208

In the mean time there’s a bike ride tomorrow, Saturday, April 11. The Fuck Gas “Posse on Broadway” - come have a beer, ride your bike and have some fun.

Still alive… sorta

I know, I know. I’ve been neglecting the political side of things as of late. I’ve been concentrating most of my efforts towards the bike things over at FuckGas.org… that ones updated daily. However, we (that’s plural for me) will have a booth/table/spot at the SXSE (South by South End) festival happening April 24 & 25. I’ll have a handful of zines, stickers for the taking as well as some shirts for the buying. Come and get it.
Finally, it’s tax season. That means millions of people take time out of their day to prepare paperwork for state and country documenting what their labor was worth the previous year. Stop being a slave and keep what’s yours. If you don’t like the idea of a government sending hundreds of thousands of troops all over the world to tell people how to live their lives then stop assisting in flipping the bill. The same goes for local government.
